iPhone works iPad does not

Mark Holmes Sep 11, 2019 05:56PM EDT

My iPad in the theater is not working and I have tried all the usual fixes. I am still getting the red icon in the bottom right.

1. iPad is connected to the network
2. I am logged into google
3. The IP address is correct. Verified because the iPhone works.
4. I have restarted the iPad.
5. Restarted the Global Cache GC-100, and verified it is the correct IP address

I am missing something. Why has the iPad geeked up on me? It has been at least a year since something went wrong in the theater, so I am likely just missing something simple.

GC-100 only accepts a single connection. So if your iPhone is connected, iPad won't connect. GC-100 is ancient.

I am not sure what your answer means. Are you saying that if there is more than one device on the router they all won't connect?

I have used the iPad when other iPhones were on the same network if that is what you are saying.

Could you clarify?

What I mean is that if you have the App open on iPhone, and then open the app on the iPad (or vice versa) only one of those handsets would be able to connect to the GC-100 as it only allows a single network connection to itself.

Assuming there is no other device with iRule open, why would the iPad stop connecting? I can successfully update the handset. Any changes i make in "builder" are updated on the iPad.

So it seems to me the iPad is working correctly, I must have something not set properly on the iPad that is not allowing connection. Any thoughts as to what I can do to trouble shoot?

Thanks for hanging in there with me

Network settings on the ipad may need to be reset. You can check if you can get to the GC-100's config web page using Safari on the iPad. If you can't then it is your iPad (iOS) issue.
