DirecTV HR44 Connectivity

David Gopss Jun 15, 2017 08:27PM EDT

I have read all the tutorials about getting the HR44 receiver connected. I have set it up with the directv http device and used an http gateway with the ip address of the receiver. I used port 8080. I am not trying to hook up any of the genie clients, just the main receiver, so I shouldn't need the mac address in the command line. When I sync it up with on my android phone, it actually gives me the green light like it is connected to the device, but for some reason, when I press any buttons, it shows a the momentary red lines at the top like the command is not being transmitted. Does anyone have any ideas on what is going on? I have all the other devices in my system connected and working fine. I know the receiver is connected to the internet and is set up to allow external control in the whole home menu because I am able to use the official directv app and some other third party apps from the google play store.

Device assigned to the gateway? What device did you import in the builder?

Yes, I stated that I used the http gateway with the correct ip address that was listed in the settings of my receiver. I used port 8080. My http method was post and I enabled WOL and also used the directv satellite (http) device in builder. Thank you for any help you can provide!!
