Plex control: HTTP. JSON. or MCE?

Tom Apr 29, 2017 10:53PM EDT

Hi,
I'm looking for a good way to control my Plex home theater box. I currently use a flirc IR receiver which works OK but I would rather use plex.
Wht id my best option? I know that HPPT seems to be depreciated but there are still options in Plex to use it.
So what's best?
HTTP?
JSON?
MCE?
I will need a tutorial on this please. I see there is one for the MCE but I haven't found the others. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Plex uses JSON, for which codes are in the builder. You need Plex Home Theater device driver that is in the builder. Model field has description of what you need to do on Plex side.
