Tutorial: Drawers - Pinned

Last Updated: Jun 27, 2014 03:26PM EDT
Drawers are fundamental way to increase programming efficiency of your project.  They allow you to create a common panel/page and use that panel/page throughout your setup.  For instance creating a common volume and power page and referencing that page in the drawers on actual activity pages.  That way, any changes made in that single page will be automatically propagated to the panels/pages where the drawers referencing that page are.

Step 1:

Create a panel/page where you would like to house your common buttons, links, feedbacks, etc.  The way to arrange the objects on the page is using the following method.  If you want Drawer on the right, you put all the objects to be shown in the right drawer on the left of the common objects page.  If your Drawer is on the Left, you would place them on the right.  Same approach for drawer on the bottom of the page.  Please be aware that Top area is reserved for iOS messaging so no drawer can be placed there.

Step 2:

Click on the More tab and expand the Widgets item.

Step 3:

Left mouse button click and hold while dragging the Drawers widget to the location where you want to place it (Left, Right or Bottom).

Step 4:

When you let go, the Drawer tab indicator will appear where you placed the Drawer widget.

Step 5:

Left mouse button click on the Drawer Tab indicator.  This will select the object and you will see the object properties on the bottom left hand corner.  From the drop-down select Panel Name and Page Name you created in Step 1.

Step 6:

For the field called Pinned select Yes from the drop-down.

Step 7:

Adjust the Percentage field value to display the desired amount of the Drawer.
