Adding Repeating Button
This tutorial covers how to modify an existing button to send repeating commands. Volume buttons are a typical example of a repeating button.
- Open the properties of an existing button.
Step One: Select a Button
Left click on an existing button, or create a new button and apply a Device command.
Step Two: Button Properties
In the button properties windows, select the yes option from the repeat on hold. This option enables the button to continuously send Device commands as long as the button is held.
Step Three: Repeat Timing
Optional Step - You can modify the default timing from 0.2 seconds to any number to determine the repeating rate for your Device codes. This is common for fast volume changes while holding down the button. To enable the fast IR repetition, set the timing to 0 seconds.
Step Four: Done
Press the Save button and to save your work to the iRule Builder.
